Blink Personal Edition is available as a free download and to date, since its release in mid-May 2007, it has been downloaded over 23,000 times.

In competitive pre-launch sales, Blink Professional Edition has since scored multiple key customers in the Asia-Pacific region. Already, customers are looking to replace their current anti-virus solutions with Blink's unified security clients that simply affords an improved level of Anti-Vulnerability. This is testament to the strength of eEye's world-class research and development team that has been cited with being the first at identifying vulnerabilities exploited by the world-famous Sasser and Code-Red worms.

Industry veteran Gun Suk Ling appointed as regional vice president

(ALISO VIEJO, CA) March 6, 2007 — eEye Digital Security®, a leading developer of endpoint security and vulnerability management software solutions, today announced their increased presence in Asia-Pacific with the appointment of Gun Suk Ling as eEye’s Vice President, Sales, Asia-Pacific. In her new role, Ms. Gun is responsible for growth and development, as well as delivery of security leader eEye’s entire award-winning portfolio of endpoint security and vulnerability management solutions in the Asia-Pacific region. The additional focus in this region marks a rapid escalation in market opportunity and regional interest in eEye’s products. Mr. Ross Brown, eEye’s CEO, will be on-hand for the company’s Asia-Pacific market launch, together with the eEye regional partners of Taiwan and Malaysia.

“We’re very happy to have someone with Ms. Gun’s expertise and experience on board to address the exploding interest in eEye within this vitally important region,” said Ross Brown, CEO of eEye Digital Security. “Her track record of success, as well as her extensive contacts with key channel partners, distributors and end customers in the region, makes her an ideal addition to our management team as we grow our presence in this vast market.”

Ms. Gun comes to eEye from Symantec, where she served as country manager for Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei, including creating the local office in Malaysia on her own. Prior to this role, she was Symantec’s channel marketing manager for South East Asia. Ms. Gun holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration majoring in General Marketing with a Minor in Business Information Systems from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA.

“I am very pleased with eEye’s expansion to the Asia-Pacific market, as now is the time for companies in this market to begin seriously implementing vulnerability assessment as one of their key monitoring tools,” said Ms. Gun. “Given the sheer volume of vulnerabilities that are being announced on a regular basis, companies need to provide ongoing, regular vulnerability scanning for their networks.”
